Riwo Sang Chö

Riwo Sang Chö

Regular practice at Dudjom Tersar Barcelona

Riwo Sang Chö is a practice in which blessed smoke is offered to the Buddhas and Victorious Ones who have reached enlightenment, Dharma protectors, the six classes of beings and the obstructive forces, with whom we have karmic debts.

Riwo Sang Chö is a terma hidden by Guru Rinpoche and revealed in the 17th century by the great yogi and tertön Lhatsün Namkha Jikmé (1597-1653), who brought the Dharma to Sikkim. From the many ways, elaborate or condensed, of doing this practice, Kyabjé Dudjom Rinpoche composed an abbreviated version for daily practice.

By offering the essence of everything that is desirable in samsara and nirvana, all beings are satisfied and places receive great benefit and protection, especially those where the practice is performed.
